Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland
09:00pm 23/06/2029
  2010 is so far away!

This movie is going to be absolutely brilliant. Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and Alice in Wonderland - talk about a match made in heaven

First stills released, how perfectly psychotic does Johnny look!

I CANT WAIT! <3

Hearts
10:49pm 25/04/2029
There is something about kitsch, bright, super girly hearts that I just love. Perhaps they remind me of my childhood when, as a child growing up in the late 80s/early 90s, I was heart-accessorised to the max - pyjamas, school bag, underpants, dresses, shoes, bedspread I had it all.
My favourite heart things now are accessories, just the perfect thing to add in a dose of cute girly fun to your day.
One thing Im not overly fond of is the whole lovey-cheesy-golden entertwined hearts that often make an appearance at weddings. No no no! Hearts need to be light hearted, fun and subtle to have their best effect without going down tacky street. There is something about a nice heart print or heart shaped item that makes me feel happy, its definitely a "feel good" shape for me!.

A selection of some goodies Im currently wishing I had... Especially that heart shaped calculator! Now that would make my work desk infinitely more fun to be at.

Ive been so miserable the last couple of months and last night I finally realised why
Im not doing anything creative, no acting, no performing, not making anything
Ive been reading so much to try and compensate, but I think today Im going to go buy some paints or something. I need to do something dammit! I havent felt like myself at all.

I went to a poledancing "class" yesterday. In actual fact it was alot of champagne drinking, photo taking, and giggling over costume with not a whole lot of actual poledancing (was for a hens afternoon). The bit on the pole we did though was mega hard, and mega fun! Id considering doing lessons, when I have some time and money

Ive been veil hunting for a while now, but haven't been able to find what I wanted, every single bridal store I visited seemed to have the exact same choice of veils none of which were exactly what I wanted.

Well today I had some advice to go see Sandie Bizy, a miliner who specialises in vintage and weddings, and of course she is able to make EXACTLY what I want for me!!

So happy :) I thought my veil vision wasnt going to happen, but it seems it is...yaaaaaay :)

Hello friends...too lazy to write an entry, so I shall do the old "point form" trick

* I saw benjamin button last night. It made me sad for lots of reasons, 1 being that I wish I could be a ballerina and I realised Im too old now!

*We went to Narrabeen beach today, and wadered around the little suburb and this little market. It was all very nice, but can you believe a small fruit salad and a small coke zero cost me $10?! rip off merchants!

*I have realised how much of a FAT ASS I am. Arrggh, how did this happen? I mean I was never skinny but now my god..between my neck and my knees is just indescribably gross. I blame full time work, it makes me lazy and hungry.

*Speaking of work, its good fine boring dull but satisfactory. I got a new boss a couple of weeks ago and she is really cool, so Im hoping that will help!.

*We went out for dinner on Friday night, and I got "spaghetti isabella", this excited me because my middle name is isabelle.

*Im thinking of doing italian lessons. I think ill pick it up pretty easily, I already know quite a few words due to learning it in primary school, plus I went there for a month when I was 21, and my best friend is italian.

*Nothing gives me more of a thrill than being called "Bella" at italian restaurants. Thanks Bella, Are you Ok, Bella? Excuse me Bella....mmm i love it.

*We walked down to majors bay road yesterday, PJ got a haircut, I had a gift voucher for a little shop there I wanted to spend, I did about 12 circuits of this tiny shop and couldnt find 1 damm thing I wanted to buy. The gift voucher also expires in 3 months, which I think is a complete rort.

*Money sucks at the moment, and I have to pay for the rest of Fiji by the end of January. Arrgghh guess I better stop buying $8 fruit salads that consist of approximately 3 forkfulls of fruit.

*IM GOING TO FIJI IN APRIL!.

*Ive decided this year to revert to how I previously dressed, that is primarily in Black. I was in Melbourne the weekend before last and bought a few pieces for the "Margot wears 90% black 99% of the time" project, including this knit....isn't it gorgeous? It's my new favourite piece of clothing!
blackknit

*I dyed my hair dark again. Not as dark as it once was, but a few shades darker than the caramel colour I had before (see previous post with birthday photos)

Hmm Ok, that will do for now
Love
me xxx

happy nrew year
09:50am 03/01/2029
Hope you all had a fun new year. Mine was great, very low key, just went to a friends place made cocktails and played singstar

couple of photos )

Last night I was tres stupid and dropped my phone in the bath :( Its a fairly new phone too, Im sooo annoyed. Its highly likely that its totally ruined. I left it to dry for about 6 hours and when I turned it on again it made strange noises. Im using PJs old, highly frustrating one with the broken keypad for the time being :((((

Tonight Im going out to celebrate my bday....yay!. My actual turning older day isnt until next Wednesday, but next weekend I'll be in Melbourne so this was really the only time Ill have to do anything. We are going out for tapas and then cocktails..I have absolutely nothing to wear! I wonder if a potato sack will be OK.

Thinking of you J.F
08:17pm 30/12/2028
About this time last year, the day before new years eve 2008/2009, I imagine Jonathan was likely to be excitedly planning how he was going to celebrate. He was such a sociable soul, whenever I saw him he would invite me some place or other- his for a bbq, down to the pub, out for a night on the town. He was the sort of person who had a true, genuine interest in people, something that is rare to find. He was always doing something, always planning his next adventure. At 25 he had travelled the world, worked at the snowfields in Austria, fallen in lust in the Greek Islands, grown up in the UK (although now every inch an Australian apart from a slight accent which would creep in every now and then), and everywhere in between. Jonathan lived life to the fullest in every meaning of the word. He had only recently finished his Economics degree (with a double major in Psychology) and had just scored his first "real" job. It appeared the adventurer was perhaps settling down.
No doubt those green eyes of his had sparkled, his cheeky grin stretching to his eyes, as he talked on the phone, planning the house party at someones awesome apartment in Pyrmont for New Years eve.

Jonathan sadly passed away on New years day. His body was found on January 6th, the day before my birthday. It appears he had a fall as he tried to find his way home after the party.

Thinking of you

Its a silly photo but its one of my favourites. Its how I remember Jonathan, always doing something to make other people smile.

The last time I saw Jonathan was on his birthday, 1st December 2007. I had been facepainting that day, and it was also the day I had my play WANT on. I ran into him after facepainting at Burwood, he knew it was my performance day, despite the fact I hadnt told him and I hadnt seen him for a month or so. He was like that, he took a real interest in you, he cared, he remembered. He wished me luck, and apologised for not being able to come, it was his birthday and he was having a family dinner that night.

PS- I can't listen to New Years Day by u2 without crying. Listen to the lyrics and perhaps you will understand.

The Christmas Tree in Martin Place- across the road from my work

Hi Sweeties, hope you all had a smashing Christmas!

For me, Christmas is basically a 3 day non stop eating fest. With presents and naps thrown in randomly for good measure.
This year, we kicked off on Christmas Eve, where we hosted 15 or so of our friends over for a bbq. It was great, there was a whole lot of meat (not that I eat that), and 3 types of salad (potato, asian noodle, and rocket+haloumi) plus bread and a whole lot of sweet things like fairy bread and forrero rocher. Plus champagne, of course ;)
Christmas Day was spent with my immediate family + 1 Aunt and 2 cousins, and Christmas night at another aunts place with more cousins (My mum is 1 of 10 and I hvae over 30 first cousins on that side, so the logistics of getting us all together in one place is a bit of a challenge! We dont really do a meal anymnore, too much trouble, rather its a casual sort of cup of tea/glass of wine, and nibbles after we have all had our mammoth lunch).
My dad truly adores to cook, and he takes great care in planning our Christmas day menu, much to my great dissapointment ;)
This year we had
1)A starter of bruschetta, and antipasto platters of olives, semi dried tomatoes, roasted eggplant etc
2)Seafood course with prawns and oysters, and about 12 types of salad including pasta salad, asparagus salad, beetroot salad, potato salad, etc
3)Turkey, Pork, and Ham, plus roasted vegetables and potato bake
4)Christmas pudding, and chocolate mudcake.

I think I live all year just for christmas pudding :)

Boxing day it was up to Lake Macquarie to see Sally, David, and [info]pixie_pan! They put on another feast for us, including their famous potato salad and other yummies!

All in all, I believe I have put on about 46 kgs this Christmas. I went on a 2 hour walk today to attempt to balance out the impending terror that the scales have in store for me!.

Presents wise Im feeling extremelly spoilt. I have such thoughtfull and generous family and friends.
I got....
Chanel compact mirror for David
Audrey Hepburn dvd collection, apron, and painted fan from Rebecca
Versace eyeshadow, jewellery box, and swarovski nail file from Marija
Peter Alexander pyjamas from Katherine
Sims 2 Deluxe, and Annick Goutal "petite cheri" from Peter
Myer gift card from Brother
Mosaic lamp, chocolates, keyring, and this awesome little portable picnic table with wine glass holders from my sisters
Money from my dad
Chanel frangrance collection, cashmere sweater, and giftcards from Mum
Cheeseboard from the other David
Dita Von Teese "burlesque and the art of the teese" from the extremelly thoughtfull [info]pixie_pan
Bracelet, these beautiful personalised cards with a black velvet M, and a vegetarian cookbook from Sally
And some "Mail Order Broad" pyjamas from PJs cousins!

Im totally blissed out.. :)

Still no plans for New Years Eve. What are you doing ?</lj></lj>
